I hate anchovies, pepperoni,... the list is long. I admit I have food issues. o_O

Yeah, I think anchovies are pretty gross. Sardines, too. Maybe it's something about eating a whole fish, complete with the tails  . I also dislike liver. I know it's good for you, and I've tried my best to eat it (disguising its texture by cramming my mouth full of cornbread after taking a bite of liver, for instance). No go.

My Dad grew up on a farm during the Great Depression, when survival meant never wasting anything. They raised their own poultry, and one of his favorite meals then was fried chicken. Following the "no waste" rule, all parts of the chicken were cooked and eaten. The best parts would go to the parents and the youngest child. One of the unlucky middle kids would get the feet.

I recently read about a "nouvelle cuisine" restaurant in Portland whose owner/chef has received a lot of publicity for his creativity. One of his special (and very pricy) dishes involves fried duck feet. I think about people paying big bucks for that, and then I think of my Dad's family living in poverty and eating it because they had no choice. Huh.

Hate any type of fish - I think it's the texture (I have this whole thing about the texture of food lol), prawns (ugh), liver (bigger ugh), Kidneys (ewwwwww)... in fact it's probably quicker to list the things I DO like. I'm not a huge food fan :D

I don't like the majority of vegetables, however I do like carrots, green/runner beans, spinach, I will eat cabbage if I'm the mood.

I hate all fruit, however I do like fruit juice, which is a little strange.

Anchovies are at the top of my list, with olives crowding their way in there. I don't care for chicken, but will eat it if I must. Now if someone wants to head to the Colonel's for buzzard, bring me back a cup of livers, because those I love.

Pepperoni? Now that's good stuff. I think pepperoni is a little like garlic, they would both probably be good on ice cream. ;)

Lisa, how about black pudding, do you care for that? Haggis?

I can take black pudding or I can leave it.

Haggis, on the other hand, is food fit for a king.

Fish, aniseed based products. Did I mention fish too? Smell, texture, look, it makes me want to convulse.

On I side note, whilst I'm not vegetarian, I refuse to eat any meat that means an animal is force fed or treated inhumanely. Foie gras, for example.
