Do you believe in past lives?

A friend of mine was talking today about how her daughter talks about her other mum and dad and her other house. She said she's quite clear in that she's not talking about mummy and daddy (my friend and her hubby). I've read a few articles about children insisting they've had other lives, and families have actually investigated the chidren's claims and found families that match the child's decriptions.

    One interesting article

    What's your take on these?

    I know that feeling.

Anyway, when I was 16 years old and read The Search for Bridey Murphy and saw the word "reincarnation" for the first time, I thought, "so that's what it's called." Yes, I believe that as humans we live many lives, and that many children (and adults) can have flashbacks, in dreams or as deja vu. I have had retro-cognitive dreams and deja vu experiences since I was a very small child, and I knew even then that there was something different about those dreams.

On the other hand, I don't think that every instance of a child "recalling" previous lives are actually that.

I do believe in past lives, of re-meeting people from them as well. I had an experience when I was pregnant with my oldest son that's always made me wonder if what I experienced was a dream; or a memory from a past life. I've had dreams of myself in other situations where I saw myself, but it looked nothing like the me now, but I recognized myself. I've always wanted to have a past life regression just to see if what I dreamt/experienced was in fact, truth. Perhaps one day.

I've had some very strange experiences in certain places in Scotland. I would try to write about some of them, but you would all laugh me off.

I think I was a tree in a previous life. And I think I've narrowed it down to two species - I was either a knotty pine or a son of a birch. :)

Me too! When I visited Edinburgh (in this lifetime ) , I'd been there only 10 hours when some other tourists stopped me on the street to ask directions to a certain place. I was able to do so. Really freaked out the friends I was travelling with.

As best I can determine, I lived in Edinburgh during the late 1800s, working in the medical field (that was around the time when people were being murdered in England and Scotland so their bodies could be sold to medical researchers.)

I knew my way around Dunoon, the same way. I somehow knew Dunoon like the back of my hand.

And I would get a hair-raising feeling in some areas. What was peculiar is that I only learned my forebears had connections to those areas after I had visited them.

I have lot's of deja vu moments for sure, I've never recalled anything I've done before or had obscure memories, but I've certainly been in places and known about/recognised features even if I've never seen it before.

    Weird stuff, but fascinating.
